stop using cotton buds!

salam alaik. found an article about the use of cotton buds to clean our ears.

a doctor said, it is not good to use cotton buds for cleaning the ears as doing that may push the dirt deeper into the ears until the dirt reaches the eardrum, blocking our hearing. and sometimes it will trigger itchiness at the eardrum. then our ears may develop some unseen bruises as the dirt is not a good thing to be closely sit next to the ears.

fine hairs inside the ears will push the dirt out from the ears through the tunnels. the dirt will be accumulated at the surface of the ear lobes. so we just have to wash the surface of our ear lobes.

but for muslims, we already practise this before, cleaning the ear lobes. and believe it or not, we do it fifteen times a day!

that means our ears will be clean enough, so we do not have to use cotton buds anymore.

cleaning the earlobes is a part of wudhu (or ablution).

such a wonderful religion, everything is planned according to human's needs.
